Online Bidder Registrations
Certain requirements need to be met for a registrant to be approved to bid. Similar to physical auction registrations - it is each livestock agency’s responsibility to make sure that the bidder has been properly vetted (FICA’d) before they are allowed to partake in the auction. No person will be allowed to bid on an auction unless the instruction is received by the livestock agency.
Furthermore each approved registrant agrees to the livestock agent’s terms and conditions of sale. Similar to physical auction registrants - should any disputes arise the matter must be settled between the livestock agent and the approved bidder. (Please see Report below)
How it Works
Each time a person registers you will receive an email with that person's details and for which auction the person registers.
What you need to do: Go to your agency profile on the SwiftVEE platform and then go to the auction’s registrations to change the status of the registrant. You may also click on the registration email that will lead you to your agency profile to change the bidder status. View the agency training videos below or go to the training page with the button below:
Decline, Suspend, Report
Not all registrants should be approved. Here are your options:
Decline - should a registrant fail to provide the required FICA documentation / information / deposit payments you can use the decline on the registration sheet. This button is purely for administration purposes and the registrant will not receive a notification thereof.
Suspend - once a person is approved to bid they will be able to participate in the auction. The only way to stop a person from bidding is to suspend their account. Please let us know asap if we need to suspend a bidder. Also note that the bidder will be notified of the change in status and might contact you for an explanation.
Report - We care about our livestock agencies and sellers. If any dispute arises between yourself and an online bidder please report the incident to us. We will assist in providing you with any required information. On advice from our livestock agencies and should we deem it necessary, we will disable a bidder from using our platform to participate in any future auctions.
Make sure to let us know as soon as possible and we will red flag such bidders on our side. For any auction the bidder registers for, a red flag will appear next to their name, you can hover over the flag to see the reason for the flag.
